Babies also love their feet being played with and can benefit from mini sessions to relieve ailments such as colic,constipation and teething for example. Maternity shiatsu is also very effective and is alternative to reflexology or as a combined treatment.

I have just returned from being a guest speaker at the World Maternity Reflexology Conference in Israel in October 2009, talking about reflexology and homebirth in the UK. I learned lots too which can only be of benefit to the clients I see.

Where I practice........

I am currently working from my home in Ivybridge, which is easily accessable from Ivybridge town centre Click here for map, however, from 27th October 2009 I will have a regular clinic on Thursdays at The Observatory Practice, Ridgeway, Plympton.

Mobile home visits are also available within a 15 mile radius of Ivybridge to areas including South Brent, Wrangaton, Ugborough, Ermington, Plympton and Plymouth. (There is an additional charge for this)

I am able to take payments in form of cash, cheque or online via Paypal. Card payments are also accepted at the Plympton clinic.

About me...

I qualified as an RGN in 1994 and went on to study midwifery in 1996, qualifying with a Diploma in Higher Education in early 1998. I have worked in the South Hams area of Devon as an NHS community midwife since 2000, which I continue to thoroughly enjoy. I am particularly enthusiastic about home birth, actively promoting this within my practice to those women in pregnancy who are suitable after careful risk assessment and discussion.

In 2006 I graduated with a B.Sc. Honours Degree in Health Studies at Plymouth University and the Diploma in Reflexology taught at the South Devon School of Reflexology by Jane Holt. For reflexology I have appropriate insurance, which also covers pregnancy, and I am a full member of The Association of Reflexology.

I first became interested in reflexology therapy whilst at school at Ivybridge Community College when I undertook an introductory course at night-school to keep my mum company! I used the techniques on and off on both family and myself for a few years until I decided to have professional treatments myself two years ago with Jane Holt. I came away from that first treatment enrolled on the training course!
